YFX is a well known example of an early RS2000 having won many show trophies during the last 15 years or so. The 2016 restoration was undertaken to refresh the car and to pay particular attention to areas such as panel gaps and bodywork detailing. To bring it in line with today’s standards, the car was stripped to a bare shell before soda blasting. Panel gaps were made good, other panels attended to and repairs carried out before fresh paint was applied. YFX is now again one of the finest examples of the marque.
